The Proposal Director will have primary responsibility for managing Project Development initiatives, for assisting on other Proposal and related efforts, and for providing support to other Proposal Group activities and initiatives. These activities will be as assigned by the VP – Proposal Development, and assignments may be redirected and/or reassigned by the VP – Proposal Development to meet schedule requirements/demands.

Responsibility for managing small to mid-size to large development efforts, including: Expressions of Interest, Statement of Qualifications, Proposals/Bids, Presentations and other activities related to the final procurement and contract. This will include responsibility for reviewing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and related documents, developing a detailed production plan and schedule, and coordinating/ attending kickoff meetings; and developing projections of staff requirements for production and then reviewing needs with VP - Proposal Development to determine project staff assignments and the need for additional resources.

Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the production of a draft(s) and finished Proposal (and related) documents. This will include, but is not limited to, writing, editing, word processing, graphics production, copying, and all other aspects of the production of a finished document. Production means managing the staff involved in production, doing hands-on production as needed, and reviewing all items produced to ensure quality, completeness and accuracy.

Communicating directly with VP - Proposal Development to address any problems or issues that may arise during production, such as the need for additional staff/resource needs.

Packaging, review and shipping/delivery of the final product. The Proposal Manager, in tandem with the Project Developer, is directly responsible for the completeness, accuracy and appearance of the finished document. Additionally, the Proposal Manager is directly responsible for the shipping and/or delivery of the finished Proposal document to the client, on or before the scheduled time for receipt. Additionally, in those cases where a Project Developer, or other senior Project staff person is not on-site to do the final review of the finished document, the Proposal Manager has the primary responsibility for that review.

Development, review and editing of boilerplate materials in support Proposals and related activities.

Participation in Municipal Business Development and Marketing Communications related activities, as available, to gain better understating of the company and be involved in new initiatives.
