Veolia Water North America, the worldwide leader in water/wastewater treatment services, is looking for a Material Supervisor for our Milwaukee, WI project.
This position operates and manages the shipping, receiving, distribution and control of materials, and services for VWM and is accountable for the procurement of materials and services, and vendor stocking arrangements. He or she will oversee the inventory and purchasing aspects of the site through monitoring levels and coordinating with departmental managers.
Education and Experience
Candidates must possess the following:
- Proven track record to provide a high level of customer service.
- Direct supervisory experience, demonstrated leadership.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Compliance with MMSD Residency requirement.
- Inventory control background.
- Five year minimum experience with purchasing and inventory control.
- Previous experience with an ERP system preferable in PeopleSoft and OWAM.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Associate degree a must.
- APIC’s certified preferred.
- Experience in maintenance purchasing, with wastewater preferred.
- Purchasing of commodities required.
- Exposure to automated inventory control (bar coding).
- Valid WI driver’s license and safe driving record.
