Job Description

Veolia Water North America, the worldwide leader in water/wastewater treatment services, is looking for a Storm Water/Collection Systems & Distribution Supervisor for our Fall River, MA project.

 

This position supervises one or more full time employees in the maintenance of collection, distribution and storm water systems and pump stations as needed.  The successful candidate typically performs preventative maintenance on collection system tools and equipment, monitors, inspects,  rehabilitates and repairs storm and sewer system infrastructure such as manholes, catch basins, sewer lines, etc.

Education and Experience

Candidates must possess the following:

  • Degree in related field such as Sanitary, Civil Engineering, Surveying or equivalent related experience. 
  • Must hold or be working toward the highest level of Water / Wastewater Certification and or Collection Systems license as required by site.  Drain layers license or specialized plumbing license as required by site. 
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of current and pending storm water and wastewater treatment standards, regulations and federal, state and local laws and codes and international plumbing and sewer codes.   
  • Five to seven years in progressive experience within a wastewater treatment environment with knowledge of methods, principles and practices of operating, maintaining and repairing water equipment, instrumentation and associated systems following process control procedures.
  • Should be able to understand local sewer use ordinance regulations and be able to review sewer designs for plant developments and storm water regulations and requirements. 
  • Lead experience or supervisory training required.
  • Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record.
