Veolia Water North America, the worldwide leader in water/wastewater treatment services, is looking for a Laboratory Technician for our New Bedford, MA project.
This position performs laboratory and field chemical and biological analysis of materials; researches; sets up and carries out testing programs and provides technical direction in the laboratory.
Education and Experience
Candidates must possess the following:
- Two years college courses in math and science.
- Two years experience in a working laboratory performing chemical and biological analysis
- Experience using chemicals and cleaning solvents to maintain and repair equipment.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical and materials used in the laboratory. Also requires care and maintenance of laboratory equipment including the ability to test equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- A thorough working knowledge of laboratory safety standards, procedures and techniques.
- A demonstrated working ability to use computer programs for laboratory data management.
- Professional integrity and confidentiality and have the ability to work well with clients, upper management, and the general public, and to establish effective working relationships.
- Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record.
