The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance programs at the facility, including supervising daily activities of all maintenance personnel. Determines priorities pertaining to corrective in-plant maintenance. Insures accomplishment and documentation of plant preventative maintenance program. Assigns maintenance workload among subordinates. Prepares and monitors maintenance budget. Coordinates the work order corrective maintenance system with operations personnel. Ensures that all maintenance related reporting is done accurately and in a timely manner and that . Ensures that all maintenance functions are done in a safe, accurate, timely and cost effective manner. Maintain effective working relations with plant personnel, clients, Veolia Water North America staff and the public. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Assists in evaluating the performance of the maintenance personnel. Maintains and updates the CMMS.
Education and Experience
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. An extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge is preferred. The ability to supervise others effectively is imperative. Must be available to respond effectively to emergency situations (at the plant) during normally scheduled “off duty” hours. A combination of education and experience necessary to perform the above duties. Generally, that will include the equivalent of four to five (4 to 5) years experience in maintenance with a least one (1) year experience in wastewater.
